The nameplate is fitted to the compressor housing or bearing housing of your turbocharger. The information on this nameplate must be quoted for service and parts support. To recognize KKK turbo see fig. 1, to identify Schwitzer turbo see fig 2.

OEM part number: Part number given to the turbocharger by the vehicle/engine manufacturer.
Serial number: The serial number is unique to each single turbocharger. The number refers to the production date, etc.
BW part number:
Part number given to the turbocharger by BorgWarner (former
3K/Schwitzer part number). This number is the most useful for all
service purposes.
